Cloud Cover

2021 – 2024

A cumulus cloud: a fluffy, puffy, white and bright suspension. Dry in appearance, yet formed of water vapour. As light as a feather, yet weighing 500 tonnes. These elementals are oxymoronic: buoyant and burdened.

Cloud Kit & Cloud Kit XXL
(2022, glazed stoneware & 2022, cardboard)

The cumulus might be among the first recognisable depictions a child can draw. But why draw when one can build? (Not just for children).

A ludicrous provision; fabricated in fragile, brittle material. Forms recombine endlessly; monuments, trees, arches, dinosaurs, landscapes.

Available flat packed.
