Lottie Stoddart is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice spans painting, sculpture and film. Working through an accumulative process of making, she brings together varied visual languages to construct layered works that blur the boundaries between observation, collection and invention.

Centred on the painting as object, her work draws upon historical artefacts, botanical illustration, archaeological research and fictional narrative. These varied sources are brought together in contemporary cabinets of curiosity, where scientific observation sits alongside mythology and devotional imagery, and objects become vessels for interpretation.

Through these assembled worlds, Stoddart explores how knowledge is constructed through objects and images. Her work considers the shifting relationship between history and myth, science and imagination, inviting viewers to uncover unexpected connections between the natural world, material culture and storytelling.
